All change ready for the Summer of 2023…

2022 saw the lead change at the top of the table more than in any other year – 5 times – it began with India top – then swapped between Australia and India in January, March, July, July (again) and December.
They are still really close – in fact India regained the lead in March! So the upcoming Ashes series will certainly make a difference!
England’s Bazball style has got them up the table into 3rd and makes the Ashes series even more interesting – a gain of 8 will take 2nd place, a loss of 8 and go down to 3rd.
Later in the summer India have a tough series against West Indies – tough in that they need to win very well to keep their score.
Recent series
Sept – England in 5th gain 4 points against South Africa in 3rd and they swap places
Dec – Australia gain 2 points against West Indies and retake TOP SPOT!
Then England gain almost 6 points against Pakistan to cement their place in 3rd
Jan 23 – Australia gain 7.6 points to extend their lead, although South Africa manage to hold on to 5th.
Feb 23 sees a great series between New Zealand (4th) and England (3rd). England’s big win in first match means they gain almost 2 points – but no table movement.
Mar 23 – Australia (1st – 89.20 pts) travel to India (2nd – 79.28 points) meaning India need a gain of 4.97 to take first place. Although Australia come back in second half of series the first two test wins for India helped to give them a table gain of 5.21 points – TOP SPOT – a lead of 0.48.
Since then New Zealand have gained a bit and Ireland have lost some points – but no table movement.
